BWH Hotels expanded its portfolio in Germany with a new Best Western Plus Hotel Brüggen. The privately managed four-star superior hotel offers a total of 100 rooms, a restaurant, bar and conference rooms and has been welcoming its guests since August 1. 

Through the brand affiliation, the hotel will receive comprehensive sales, marketing and service support from the globally operating hotel group, while remaining entrepreneurially independent. “With the new hotel in Brüggen, we are gaining an exciting new destination for our business travellers, conference guests and as well our individual travellers,” explains Marcus Smola, CEO of BWH Hotels Central Europe GmbH, based in Eschborn.

We took over the hotel as the new operator back in June and now want to completely reposition it with the Best Western Plus brand. With our brand partner, we can optimally market our hotel regionally, nationally and internationally while remaining entrepreneurially independent,” explain Margarete Fischer and René Maludy, Managing Directors of the managing company WB Betreibergesellschaft mbH. “With a well-known brand as a partner, we benefit from the global distribution and reservation system as well as comprehensive marketing activities in all channels,” adds René Maludy. BWH Hotels, the umbrella company for the Best Western Hotels & Resorts and WorldHotels brands, already includes around 200 private hotels in Germany alone.

The new Best Western Plus Hotel Brüggen is the only international brand hotel in Brüggen and in the entire district. The hotel impresses with its direct location to the Dutch border. The destination of Brüggen is known as a castle city and attracts numerous tourists with Brüggen Castle, a moated castle from the 13th century. The old town of Brüggen is just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

The Best Western Plus Hotel Brüggen has a total of 100 rooms and four conference rooms. “We now offer our guests an extensive breakfast buffet and a gastronomic offer for our conference and group travellers,” explains Maludy. Additionally, a restaurant and bar are expected to open soon. The future culinary concept of the restaurant will focus on regional, seasonal and fresh cuisine. With its proximity to cities such as Düsseldorf and Mönchengladbach, the hotel is located in North Rhine-Westphalia in a diverse environment – from cycle paths around the Lower Rhine through the countryside to major cities with local companies.
