The winners, based on Tripadvisor’s sustainability data partner BeCause, were selected by analysing certified sustainable restaurants and user reviews. A 5% weighting was applied to sustainability discussions, with the remaining 95% following Tripadvisor’s standard ranking criteria, ensuring a focus on both sustainability and overall guest satisfaction.
For eco-conscious diners, these winners stand out for their commitment to sustainability as measured by a combination of inputs from our data partners at BeCause and internal Tripadvisor data points, including restaurants where Tripadvisor users were most likely to be found discussing sustainability in positive reviews.
