One of the most beautifully restored castles in Slovenia
Grad Vinica rises majestically on a cliff above the Kolpa River, offering breathtaking views over the valley. Fully restored in 2015, it is now considered one of the most beautifully renovated castles in Slovenia. The blend of medieval grandeur and contemporary aesthetics creates a distinctive atmosphere — with stone and wood dominating the interiors, providing a refined yet warm castle experience.
Today, Grad Vinica is recognised as a popular wedding venue, a setting for concerts, a lounge bar and an exclusive location for a variety of events. During the summer months, the castle lawn comes alive with romantic weddings and musical evenings under the open sky. The castle garden can accommodate up to 100 guests, while the fortification walls are complemented by a distinctive circular stage for musical performances, an ideal setting for summer events.
Inside the castle there is a restaurant with a capacity of up to 50 guests, complemented by a terrace with views for up to 20 guests — ideal for relaxed gatherings in the fresh air overlooking the surrounding landscape.
With its rich cultural heritage interwoven with a strong wine story, Grad Vinica continues the traditions of the area into the 21st century. Each event becomes an opportunity to experience this winemaking heritage, especially when accompanied by fine wines and excellent cuisine. To complete the experience, guests can also visit the castle wine cellar.
