A RENOVATED VENUE WITHIN THE HISTORIC KAZINA PALACE

Kazina Jazz Club is located within the Kazina Palace on Congress Square, one of Ljubljana’s historic landmarks. The palace was built in the early 1830s as the headquarters of the Kazina Society and is regarded as one of the finest examples of early 19th-century architecture in Slovenia. Originally conceived as a social hub for the bourgeois elite, the palace today hosts cultural and private events. Kazina Jazz Club itself is designed as an intimate venue with a limited capacity, accommodating up to 120 guests.

From jazz concerts to boutique conferences

Kazina Jazz Club accommodates a variety of event formats, ranging from seated concerts to standing social gatherings. The club’s programme is centred around jazz and related genres, while also embracing a broader spectrum of musical and hybrid events. Regular formats include jam sessions bringing together local and visiting musicians, as well as performances by leading figures of the Slovenian jazz scene, including Jure Pukl and Igor Matković. The venue will also host international projects, among them the Russ Spiegel Quartet.

In addition to traditional concerts, the space hosts themed evenings, music-and-storytelling formats, and private and corporate events. Thanks to its size and technical equipment, the venue is well-suited for presentations, receptions, smaller conferences and workshops. The club also includes a hospitality area, allowing events to be complemented with catering services.

Kazina Jazz Club has quickly established itself within Ljubljana’s venue ecosystem as an alternative to larger concert halls. Its main advantage lies not in capacity, but in the ability to curate events with precision and in its strong historical connection to the building itself. This places the club firmly within the segment of boutique venues, particularly suited to programmes and events aimed at a more clearly defined audience.
