500+ leaders of the European airport industry met in Prague between 22nd and 24th June for the 2026 ACI EUROPE Annual Congress & General Assembly, the flagship event of European airport executives and aviation stakeholders.

C-suite airport executives, policymakers, business partners, analysts, and aviation institutional stakeholders arrived in the Czech capital city for three days of vital dialogue, networking and exchange.

The cutting-edge conference program featured over 50 speakers. The ACI Europe’s Director General Olivier Jankovec, in his „State of the Industry“ address, warned that the sector was entering a profound transition in which traffic growth alone can no longer guarantee financial sustainability. He called for the “Great Decoupling” of financial viability and investment capability from volume growth.

Also at the gathering, this year hosted by Prague Airport, the latest update of the European Airport Industry Net Zero Resolution was presented, highlighting growth in both participation and ambition across the airport sector: 28 airports accounting for 83% of European passenger traffic committed to reach Net Zero by 2050 or earlier and 14 new airports joined the collective commitment.
