World-renowned photographer/filmmaker to discuss ‘challenges and opportunities for creative breakthroughs’ with Patrick Roubroeks at BEA World.

27Names and Bea World are proud to announce that the celebrated multidisciplinary artist Anton Corbijn will be the featured guest for its annual 27Minutes session at Bea World in Venice. The renowned photographer, film director, and visual creative will join Patrick Roubroeks, founder of 27Names member agency XSAGA, for an exclusive live conversation.

The discussion will delve into the challenges and opportunities for creative breakthroughs in the current era. Anton Corbijn embodies this theme, having shaped the visual identities of legendary bands like Depeche Mode and U2, work that recently earned him the Abbey Road Icon Award.

His creative influence extends beyond music, with iconic campaigns for brands like Dior and Levi’s, and celebrated films such as Control, The American, and A Most Wanted Man. His latest project “A Talent For Murder” starring Helen Mirren, a fictional thriller involving Patricia Highsmith, to be released this year.

The session will explore the very essence of a creative career built on enduring collaboration and professional integrity – a career best described by his long-time friend Tom Waits: “Anton Corbijn is a cross between a Russian spy, a painter, a gigolo and a priest. He’s a fly on the wall. He’s the king of the ball. He’s the King of them all.”

This marks the third instalment of the 27Minutes interview series. It follows the inaugural 2024 session, which featured Thierry Reboul, the mastermind behind the Paris Olympics celebrations, as well as the 2025 session “Creating the Eighth Wonder of the World” with Hamed Arafa looking behind the scenes at the milestone opening events of the Grand Egyptian Museum. The 27Minutes program perfectly encapsulates the inspirational quality of 27Names.
