Premieres of new vehicles and other automotive events are an exceptional international promotion of a destination and an excellent business opportunity for all participating. Organisers plan events carefully at least a year in advance, as it is necessary to obtain a number of permits, to carefully select partners and choose a scenic route for the test runs.

In the Editorial Board, we analysed the most suitable location in South East Europe on the basis of the following criteria:
• over-night stay for min. 50 journalists in a 4 **** hotel
• parking for min. 50 cars
• min. 1500 m2 of space in the convention centre
• outdoor space for the presentation of vehicles
• service spaces for vehicles(washing and maintenance of vehicles, security)

1. HOTEL LAV MERIDIEN, Split, Croatia
Split’s first class category was probably not coincidentally selected for a few world premieres, including this year’s European sales conference of Skoda Rapid, which was attended by 5500 participants. Set in the picturesque Dalmatian landscape it offers excellent logistics and wonderful roads for testing cars.

2. KEMPINSKI PORTOROŽ, Portorož , Slovenia
At the Kempinski Hotel Slovenia for the first time hosted the world premiere of a new Class A luxury Mercedes. Over the location and the execution even the first man of Daimler, dr. Dieter Zetsche, was impressed.
