FMTG – Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group AG opens its latest premium project – the five-star Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Jesolo in Italy. The New York architect Richard Meier and the Italian Matteo Thun are responsible for the design.

The Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Jesolo (ITA) – developed according to five-star standards – will be the fourth hotel in the five-star Premium Collection of the Vienna-based South Tyrol hotel group. This hotel is the next strategic step of FMTG AG. It is aimed at further growth in the premium segment.

Otmar Michaeler, CEO of the FMTG – Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group AG: “This beach hotel comes at the right time for us. Lately, our expansion strategy has been increasingly focused on Italy, Germany, and Switzerland. For the premium hotels of our Group and for our guests, this project is an important addition to the Alpine-Adria region. As for the architecture and design, we have again used the services of renowned names. Responsible for the exterior concept is the New York architect Richard Meier. Matteo Thun is responsible for the interior design.”

Pop art elements and the brightness of the colours of the 1960s give a first indication of the design concept of the Italian architect Matteo Thun, responsible for the interior design.[/pullquote]

Architecture and design play an important role in the design of a hotel for Otmar St. Michaeler: “None of our hotels are alike, and especially our last completed city projects in Belgrade and Vienna as well as the five-star Hotel & Spa Iadera in Croatia show our intention to emphasise architecture. This hotel will be a charming homage to the glorious past of the Italian bathing resort, and brings the glamour and flair of Miami to the Adriatic. Of course, we also want to usher in a common and successful future with the city and the region in Jesolo.”

Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Jesolo
The construction of the Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Jesolo, located in the town of Jesolo on the Italian Adriatic coast, started in 2013. Over the past summer months, the construction works had to be stopped due to the high season. Currently, we are working hard on the completion. FMTG – Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group AG is involved in this project as a partial investor. The hotel includes a pool and beach house with 126 rooms and suites.
