Q: The readers of Kongres magazine chose you as one of the most influential people in the South East European Meetings industry. What does this recognition mean to you?

I am honored. Europe is the place where I spend most of my life. Not only I would like to be part of it but also create a positive change. Kongres magazine is one of the medias which helps me to stay in touch with global communities. I would like to say thank you and I promise next 3 years I will do even more.

Q: If you look back at the 2016, what would you say were your major achievements?

15 years anniversary of Poland Convention Bureau Polish Tourist Organisation was a significant momentum to me. I am working for CVBs more that 12 years including 7 for the current one. Together with my team we have changed the world and put Poland as meetings and events destination on european map.

Secondly after being involved in Meeting Professionals International for more than 12 years I have the pleasure to serve as board member in my final year and take a role as european task force chair. I hope this move will help MPI to re-build the strenght in our part of the world.

Finally my students were awarded few times on national and International level. I am very proud of the fact I have the possibility to create next generation of leaders. This is not only job but also my passion.

Q: 3. 2017 – New Year, new plans, new business objectives?

2017 will rock. I will change the business environment, create new ventures and finish writing new book about meetings industry. Not only it will be a great year but also I will start changing other lifes even more. Definitely I am planning to be very active in association world and academy community. More details will come soon but being one of the most influential people in in the South East European Meetings industry makes me even more motivated.

Q: Which event are you looking forward to attend next year and why?

I would like to attend few scientific conferences in America and Asia to share my European perspective including future of communication in events, sustainable approach and next generation vision. Of course Imex, Imex America and IBTM World arem ust events to me. I am planning to speak at European Meetings and Events Conference in Granada, which I truly recommend and MPI World Education Congress in Las Vegas. Probably more speaking engagement will be discovered soon. I hope Slovenia will be on my list too J

Q: Which trends do you believe will shape the meetings industry in 2017?

I am a big fan of looking into the future. So cross-cultural understanding, dialogue with the next generation of meeting professionals and time, which means deadlines are crucial. Overall trend will be motivation and lack of engagement.

Q: What is your wish for 2017?

Find time for more reading. There are plenty of books which are waiting for me.
