From 24th to 30th July 2017, Klagenfurt will breathe for bodypainting art and entertainment, attracting thousands of participants and visitors who will enjoy this amazing and wonderful artistic world, basically a melting hub of art and entertainment. The chosen, new location in Klagenfurt on Lake Wörthersee will present the World Bodypainting Festival with many new opportunities for exploration – amazing and natural scenery will become an open-air Art space, welcoming worldwide famous bodypainting artist, some of the best music bands on different events zones and stages, from international bands & DJs in Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop and Electronica music, presentation of street artists and installation art, fashion shows, lifestyle markets with fashion, crafts, tattoo, piercing & accessories, kids program, Yoga, Slacklining and much more.
Besides the new location of the event, the beautiful Klagenfurt on Lake Wörthersse, the 20th Bodypainting Festival will also introduce new competition, the “Purple Brush Award”, with theme “Fashion Seduction”. The finalist will be presented at the World Bodypainting Festival and the winner will receive a cash prize worth 2,000 € and a tour around the world.
The city of Klagenfurt, capital of Carinthia, is without a doubt a location that will allow also the further development of the festival in many years to come. Already this year, the festival will focus on networking with great art and cultural initiatives Klagenfurt offers, connecting with state theatre, the art house, different galleries and the house of architecture. The international event destination is known for their grand hospitality, professional services and picturesque scenery, providing one of the best locations in Carinthia.
