The opening of the resorts in June has created a demand for as many as 350 new jobs, which is why Valamar already began hiring new staff. In these two resorts, more than 630 employees will operate. Local residents will also have the opportunity to enjoy the provided infrastructure, surrounding beaches and numerous entertainment and sporting facilities, that investment brings. In the construction of the resort, many Croatian construction companies and suppliers are included, about 50% are local Istrian.

Reconstruction and construction of two new luxury resorts with 764 accommodation units is the largest tourism project of Valamar Riviera in 2017. Investing in Rabac will attract guests with higher income and put it in the leading vacation destination for luxury tourism.

As Mr. Željko Kukurin, CEO of Valamar Riviera said: “This is the largest tourism project in Croatia and confirms ambition of the Valamar Riviera to continue to invest and develop the tourism portfolio. Our investment in Rabac is an example of a project that boosted the Croatian construction sector, hired vendors and opened 350 new jobs and will also significantly increase tourist spending and improve the quality of destination.”

The comprehensive investment project in Rabac includes complete reconstruction of two resorts with 764 accommodation units, 17 restaurants and bars and 13 pools with 2363 m2 in total water surface. Additionally, construction of Maro club, several playgrounds, two entertainment centres, spa, indoor and outdoor fitness, bike center and other sports facilities are planned. Investing involves also adapting beach, promenade and complete renovation of the landscape.
