GENERAL

Q: What do you love about your job the most?

What I love most about my job is the adrenaline that rises until the show is released and the pleasure I feel when I see the final result. Creating a show asks a lot of work and a strong team that believes in the project, even if it seems, at first, impossible to do. My job is to make sure that we can create what seems impossible and what Mr. Luc Petit, our Artistic Director, envisioned. I love to mobilize all energies towards this goal and do everything I can to achieve it. It is amazing to see all those people working together, sharing that same goal and, ultimately, reach it. To add up, this job allows me to meet amazing talented people from all over the world and everywhere in the world which is always very inspiring.

Q: Where do you see the biggest opportunity in marketing and MICE industry?

For me, there are opportunities everywhere. We can obviously look for them but most of the time they simply come to us unexpectedly and sometimes, from where you least expect them. At first, a project often seems to lead nowhere but, ultimately, it allows another one to rise from it. In fact, there are no obvious opportunities, even the smallest can lead to many other projects. We just must stay open minded and ready to jump on them.

Q: How do you deal with marketing jungle on daily basis?

Each concept is different and must be adapted to the client’s expectations and desires. That being said, our client must also understand that experience and quality has a price and that these allow us today to be efficient and fast which distinguishes us from our competition. Therefore, we tell them what we do and how we do it so they can evaluate the value of our work. In the end, they may rely on our reputation.

Q: How did the best events you attended so far make you feel?

They made me simply happy because it is always a pleasure to see other beautiful projects succeed and people evolve in the same direction than us. Without any competitive spirit or bitterness, each event is a source of inspiration and learning therefore I am glad I can still be humble and objective when I see a fabulous show that hasn’t been created by my team. In addition, it is also always a good occasion for me to let go and simply enjoy the show without having to check all smallest details.

PERSONAL – BACKGROUND

Q: Looking at your bucket list, what is the one thing that you really wish to cross off until the end of 2017?

I don’t have one specific thing to cross off on a bucket list, I just would like to have more time to deal with everything in my personal and professional life. I wish I had more time to think wisely about everything instead of rushing most of the time.

Q: If you could have dinner with anyone (alive or dead), who would you have dinner with and why?

For one night, I would love to bring together for dinner all the people that have been important to me, and still are, dead or alive, whether I met them in my personal or professional life. It is simply important to me to be surrounded by close ones.

CROSSOVER CONFERENCE

Q: What would you share with our participants if you would have only one minute?

I would like to make them realize and remember that we simply wouldn’t do this job if we didn’t love it. I often say “Without passion, there is no creation”. So just love what you do, work hard for it and you’ll do it well.

Q: What are you bringing to Conventa Crossover?

Thanks to my experiences, I would like to show the participants how to bring distinctive and sometimes distant elements together to create harmonious and wonderful shows. I would like to share our experience and way of thinking. At Luc Petit CREATION we always try, through our shows, to communicate emotions to our audience and so, create memorable souvenirs. Finally, I am also participating in this conference to share my passion for my job and tell all participants to never limit themselves because everything is always possible. Working in the events and show industry allows to live so many wonderful and sacred moments. We get to meet incredible people and get to work on projects that seem impossible to achieve but turn out to be outstanding. There are always surprises in this industry which is what makes it so captivating in the end.
