Selina will bring her experience as a thought leader in the business events industry to advocate for the use of incentives as a motivator for driving business growth and performance. She fills the board vacancy resulting from the resignation of Aileen Zerbonia, former Senior Manager Global Events for Informatica.

“I am honored to have been selected to the SITE Foundation Board of Trustees,” said Selina.

“Our industry is in an exciting period of growth and innovation and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with other leaders to give our industry a voice. I am impressed with the work SITE is doing to educate and share knowledge within the industry, especially in how to continue to drive engagement in an ever-changing environment. I am looking forward to bringing additional information and perspectives from my experience in both Europe and Asia Pacific.”

After 15 years in Australia and the UK, in 2012 Selina joined Pacific World – one of the world’s leading global destination and event management companies – and was promoted to global managing director in 2015. Previously, she was the regional director for Pacific World in Singapore and Malaysia, focusing on event operations, international sales and marketing.

“We’re excited to have Selina join us on the Board of Trustees. Her industry expertise and personal experiences will bring the voice of her region to the Foundation that we have been missing for a few years,” said SITE Foundation President Rhea Stagner, DVP Sourcing & Supplier Relations, Maritz Travel – a Maritz Global Events Company. ” We recognize Selina’s leadership throughout our industry and are honored she will be sharing it with us. We also want to thank Aileen Zerbonia for her service and support. As a corporate planner, Aileen brought a unique perspective to the board and has been a strong contributor and advocate of the Foundation’s mission.”

The mission of the SITE Foundation is to enhance the awareness and effectiveness of motivational experiences and incentive travel, thereby expanding their use around the world. In order to achieve this goal, the not-for-profit organization facilitates critical research, trend analysis, and educational programs that elevate the skills of incentive travel professionals and connect them with leading practices. The Foundation also hosts multiple fundraising events resulting in donations from individuals, corporations, and industry organizations in order to fund these valuable initiatives.

In addition to SITE Nite Europe held in May in conjunction with IMEX Frankfurt, the Foundation will be hosting two more events in 2017: SITE Classic, 13-16 September in Los Cabos, Mexico and SITE Nite North America, 9 October, during IMEX America week in Las Vegas.
