Cankarjev dom – Cultural and Congress Centre Ljubljana offers 22 multifunctional halls and rooms on a staggering 36,000 square meters which can accommodate as many as 5,000 visitors.
The largest plenary hall can in its auditorium setting host as many as 2,000 participants.
For exhibitions and fairs, 4,000 square meters are also provided.
Cankarjev dom hosts as many as 2,500 cultural, scientific and corporate events per year.
The Slovenian Book Fair – the largest bookshop in the country with 350 accompanying events annually welcomes an incredible number of 30,000 visitors.
The Schuke organs in the Gallus Hall are made of 73 organ stops and of almost 8,000 pipes.
In addition to the 3 independently moving parts of the base stage of 324 square meters, the Gallus Hall in the sub-section also houses a swiveling stage with a diameter of 17 meters and an acoustic orchestra shell.
The difference in altitude from the cellar below the Gallus Hall to the CD Club is equal to the height of the Ljubljana’s famous Skyscraper – 35 meters.
On the roof of the Cankarjev dom, as many as 500,000 buzzing Carniola bees are contributing to Ljubljana and Slovenia’s biodiversity and sustainable stability.
