At the beginning of November, a select group of international buyers got a chance to experience the region of Western Hungary, the home of Mjus World, an exquisite hotel resort and the starting point of all activities in the programme.

The resort has quite an impressive history. The same location used to be the site of a shoe factory owned by the Italian manufacturer Mjus; in 2016 it was successfully transformed into a tourist resort. The hotel is located in the region of the Raba river, in the town of Körmend located at the junction of three countries, only a few tens of kilometers from Austria and Slovenia.

The hedonistic escape to Hungary started with a Mjus World Spa Experience, where participants got to try out Mjus World’s rich spa and wellness offer. The participants also went behind the scenes, into the underground “guts” of the hotel, where they got a rare glimpse of what running a modern resort looks like. The evening finished off with some friendly competition in Mjus resort’s bowling center.

The participants got woken up by some early-morning yoga in the Mjus garden before visiting the Fertorakos Stone Quarry, where they experienced the Cave Theatre, famous for its exceptional acoustics and incredible atmosphere. After learning about all the venue’s possibilities, the participants had lunch in the renowned Ráspi Restaurant, which sells its Kékfrankos wine in London, France, Austria and New York. After lunch, it was time for some cultural heritage. Hungarian pottery heritage that is. As traditional pottery is highly developed in this part of Hungary, the guests learned about all the procedures for making iconic Hungarian plates and mugs. To wind down after the intense day, we went for a tasting of “pálinka”, a typical Hungarian fruit brandy
