BARCELÓ HOTEL GROUP ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST HOTEL IN SLOVENIA
Leading Spanish hospitality company Barceló Hotel Group has announced its entry into Slovenia with the opening of a new hotel in Ljubljana. Set to launch near the capital’s old quarter in May 2021, Barceló Hotel Group is the first Spanish hotel brand to establish a presence in Slovenia.
The hotel being built as part of the emerging residential and commercial complex Šumi in Ljubljana will be operated by the Spanish hotel chain and under the Occidental Hotels & Resorts brand, the developers of the project have announced.
The hotel will have 151 rooms and will feature a restaurant, lobby bar, car park and two meeting rooms spanning 30 and 40 square metres, respectively. It will share the same block as other buildings offering residential accommodation and shops. The 4-star design hotel will be centrally located near the old quarter and only 200m from Cankarjev Dom, one of Slovenia’s largest convention centres.
