THE HYBRID EDITION OF CONVENTA WILL BE TAKING PLACE FROM 25 TO 26 AUGUST 2021
In line with the event’s responsible event realisation protocol, the organisers of Conventa Trade Show have decided to reschedule the event and move forward with Plan B.
“Unfortunately, the epidemiological situation is not improving at the rate we expected. In order for us to carry out Conventa as planned in January, 70% of countries where hosted buyers and exhibitors are coming from would have needed to be on Slovenia’s GREEN or ORANGE list. As that has not happened, we will carry out the Conventa Trade Show together with the Conventa Crossover conference from 25 to 26 August 2021. The original date (20 – 21 January 2021) will serve as an opportunity to carry out a 2-day online Conventa Trend Bar workshop.” said Gorazd Čad, co-founder of Conventa.
The organisers see the turn of events as an opportunity to provide more added value, as well as new educational and networking opportunities for exhibitors and hosted buyers.
Conventa Trade Show will remain the focal MICE event of 2021. The annual B2B trade show will be held together with its younger brother, Conventa Crossover, an exciting conference for marketers and meeting planners. The organisers are certain that the synergy will create a lot of added value. You can expect an inspiring programme in line with the following schedule:
24 August 2021 in the evening – Online welcome address
25 August 2021 from 10.00 to 17.00 – Conventa 2021: One2One meetings
26 August 2021 from 10.00 to 17.00 – Conventa 2021: One2One meetings
27 August 2021 from 09.00 to 21.00 – Conventa Crossover 2021
A key concern in organising any event is to follow the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection. That is why the organisers have received the “Safe and Healthy Meetings & Events” certificate, ensuring the event will be safe for all participants and support staff.

1. CONVENTA TREND BAR ONLINE
“In addition to the main event, we are preparing a number of additional activities that will take place in an online or hybrid form” added Gorazd. The last online Conventa Trend Bar workshop of the season is waiting for you in December. The Autumn season, in which we have already held 16 events, will end on December 3, 2020, in Bucharest. 2. CONVENTA TREND BAR NEW EUROPE
As announced in the event realisation protocol, the original date (20 – 21 January 2021) will serve as an opportunity to carry out a 2-day online Conventa Trend Bar workshop, entitled “CONVENTA TREND BAR NEW EUROPE”. The workshop will take place under the slogan: Regional Knowledge For Global Re:Start.
The event will take place in three content SEGMENTS (STAGES) from 10:00 to 17:00. The main topics of the event will be:
- Destination Stage, where we will show the best examples of destination marketing.
- Creative Stage with an overview of creative events during and after the crisis.
- Innovation Stage with suggestions on how to make events better and more efficient
“How to” workshops will be an integral part of the event. They will be completely practical and will equip exhibitors and all other partners with tools and knowledge to successfully exit the corona crisis. You will learn how to use video platforms for events, how to organize hybrid events, how to adapt your marketing, and what sales activities will be at the forefront after the end of the crisis.
3. CONVENTA BEST EVENT AWARD
On Wednesday, 20 January 2021, the winner of the CONVENTA BEST EVENT AWARD competition will be ceremoniously announced. The event will be taking place online, providing a platform for organisers to showcase their amazing projects to the public. The event is not intended for business meetings but will be primarily of an educational nature. It is intended for exhibitors as well as hosted buyers and all other interested.
POWER TO THE MEETINGS
The event will be carried out in line with the Power to the Meetings methodology, a concept that advocates more quality and greater responsibility; to the attendees, environment and ourselves.
