Cankarjev dom will host the world's leading experts
Cankarjev dom will be the host of the annual IAPCO AM & GA in 2024. This year’s first virtual event, executed by The International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) on the 15th of February, saw 250 online participants choose the hosts of IAPCO’s upcoming events. Slovenia was chosen as the location for IAPCO’s Annual Meeting & General Assembly in 2024. Cankarjev dom, which won the bid for hosting the event, will host the world’s leading meetings industry players.
MSc. Breda Pečovnik, Director of the Congress and Commercial Programme at Cankarjev dom, said: “IAPCO unites professional congress organisers from around the world and sets standards for the meetings industry, knowledge exchange and sharing experience. Every PCO that is licensed by IAPCO, is accredited to execute events at the highest level. Hence, recognition from colleagues is of the utmost importance. It brings recognisability to the destination and offers both an opportunity and a responsibility.”

Dušica Todorović, Deputy Marketing Director added: ”We are delighted that IAPCO has recognised our achievements and chosen Slovenia for its most important event in 2024 that will take place in Ljubljana and Bled.
