Taking place between 6 May – 8 May 2021 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), ADX Melbourne is expected to attract over 5,000 delegates in-person from all over the country. MCEC, acknowledged as a standout venue for COVID-safety, now has capacity to host to 10,000 patrons per event space per day, at a maximum of 75 per cent capacity.
Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) supported the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA) – the nation’s peak body representing dental products manufacturers and suppliers, in their decision to bring one of the largest exhibitions to Melbourne since the pandemic hit, providing strong recognition of the city’s capability and readiness to host large scale business events and exhibitions in-person.
The exhibition which has established itself as the premier event for Australian dental professionals to get up to speed on the industry’s latest products and innovations isexpected to generate over $16.2 million in economic contribution to Victoria’s visitor economy and provide more opportunities for local businesses to increase trade.
In addition to 9,000+ square metres of exhibition space, ADX Melbourne will host key professional bodies representing dentists and allied oral healthcare professionals providing a strong programme of seminars and social networking events.
This financial year alone, MCB has secured 25 international and national business events expected to inject $124.9 million into the Victorian economy over coming years, while continuing to develop opportunities to host domestic business events. Last week MCB announced the National Business Events Program, a new funding initiative to encourage interstate organisations to hold their events in Victoria.
The National Business Events Program will provide business event organisers up to $25,000 cover costs associated with venue hire, accommodation, transport and other event costs, with 50 per cent payable before the event commences to support upfront expenses.
