THE TALLEST BUILDING IN ESTONIA
At 314 metres, the Tallinn TV Tower is easily the tallest building in Estonia, and the amazing views from its 22nd-floor brasserie and restaurant make it a great place for special events. Reconstruction completed in 2012 has added a tourism and leisure centre as well as an interactive museum where visitors can marvel at exhibitions dedicated to Estonia’s top national achievements. The observation level, ground floor cinema hall and outdoor area can be booked for events and seminars. Those seeking an adrenaline rush can try a daring edge walk on Northern Europe’s highest open viewing platform.
The TV Tower can host all kinds of celebrations, from birthday parties, weddings, corporate and school events to Christmas and New Year’s festivities. Hiring the premises gives meeting planners access to the soaring heights as well as possibilities on ground level. Larger parties can also be held in the outdoor area.
In 2014, Tallinn TV Tower Run, a race up the stairs that is open to the public, was included as the Premium Race event and on the list of the WFGT’s Tower Running Challenge. The 30 fastest men and women in the race are awarded the world cup series every year. At least eight towers from different countries and continents take part in the series. The fastest time posted at the TV Tower dates from 5 April 2015 and was set by world champion Piotr Lobodzinski – 4 minutes, 29 seconds.
