SAFELY Explore, Meet and Create

The focal MICE event of the year, the Conventa Trade Show, is fast approaching and in just over forty days we will meet again in Ljubljana.

We are all looking forward to the event, and especially to seeing you again in person. For thirteen years we have been creating an energy that you can feel with all your senses. We call this energy – Conventa Experience, an energy that turned many first-time visitors into loyal ambassadors of the Conventa project. We are delighted that all exhibitors are planning to attend the trade show in person and the same goes for hosted buyers. Only a few have decided to join the event online.

Despite summer optimism and increased relaxation, our key responsibility is to ensure a safe event. A key finding from recent test events in Europe is that the additional risk of infection is less than one percent at professionally organised events, where rules are strictly followed. It is therefore our commitment to meet all the epidemiological measures we set out in the beginning.

You can read more about the safety measures that will be implemented at Conventa 2021 HERE.

To guarantee a safely executed event, attendees will have to present one of the following at the Conventa registration desk:

1. Vaccination certificate in digital or printed form

The following vaccines are recognised for entry into Slovenia: BioNTech/Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Sinopharm. You are considered “vaccinated” from day 22 after the first dose and the vaccination lasts for 90 days from the date of vaccination.

2. Proof of recovery from COVID-19

You can enter Slovenia with a certificate of recovery from SARS-CoV-2 infection that is no more than six months old.

3. A negative COVID test

You must show a PCR test that is not older than 72 hours or a rapid antigen test that is not older than 48 hours. The tests must be issued by a certified health facility.

EU Digital Covid Certificate

All participants are advised to obtain an EU Digital Covid certificate before coming to the event or a third-country certificate of the same type (it must have the same details as the European certificate and be issued in English). For attendees entering Slovenia from countries on Slovenia’s Orange or Red list, anyone with a European Digital Covid Certificate or a third-country digital covid certificate can enter the country without quarantine.

Find out more about the certificate HERE.

If you are unable to obtain either of these documents, you will be required to take a PCR or rapid antigen test within 24 hours of your arrival to Slovenia, which you will be asked to show at the reception desk of the event. We will also be conducting rapid antigen tests at all of the Conventa venues.

As the situation is constantly changing, we also recommend that you check the updated information on the entry requirements for Slovenia, which can be found at https://www.gov.si/en/topics/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/border-crossing/

GOOD NEWS: The new hybrid format will allow us to carry out the event no matter the epidemiological situation. You can read more about the hybrid format HERE.
