CONVENTA WEEK: 24 – 27 August 2021
The organisers of Conventa Trade Show, the oldest MICE event in the region, are seeing a strong trend of increased demand for live meetings. The event is fast approaching and over 1.100 meetings between hosted buyers and exhibitors have already been prescheduled.
In just over twenty days, 70 suppliers from 13 countries will meet with 120 hosted buyers from 28 countries on the Conventa exhibition floor. Only 6 hosted buyers have chosen to attend the event online, meaning the desire to meet with people in person is stronger than ever. This is positive news for the meetings industry and live events in general.
For the first time, Conventa Trade Show will be held in a hybrid form – it will be taking place in Ljubljana, Slovenia at the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, as well as online. Meetings with hosted buyers are already being pre-arranged via the B2Match online app. The novelty of the application is that exhibitors will be able to conduct meetings with hosted buyers, either in person or online through a video connection.
Regional focus
It is clear that during these times we are completely dependent on the regional market. It will likely stay that way for some time. Conventa has remained loyal to the region of New Europe even during its greatest expansion. This year, suppliers from 13 countries of New Europe are joining the show: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey.
Conventa’s FAM TRIP programmes
Conventa’s legendary familiarisation trips will remain an integral part of the event. After the main trade show programme on 25 and 26 August 2021, hosted buyers will embark on an adventure through the region of New Europe. Trips to 8 destinations will be carried out; Bled, Zagreb, Istria, Kranjska Gora, Portorož, Salzburg, South Styria and Ljubljana.
