Jam Factory Art Center team is committed to implementing its vision: opening an interdisciplinary centre of contemporary art in the revitalized space of Jam Factory premises, which through its educational activities, exhibitions and research, will reflect current processes in Ukrainian and international art and culture, and will open opportunities for public dialogue.
Jam Factory Art Center is a space for presenting new art trends and discovering new names; it is a place for implementing countless cultural and art projects, exhibitions, art festivals and performances, and a platform for international cultural and artistic collaboration. It has become a sought-after special venue for meeting planners throughout Ukraine. Jam Factory Art Center is a part of the international cultural scene due to its extensive network of partnerships. Its team focuses on presenting, developing, and exploring Ukrainian and East European art.
The history of the building can be traced back to 1872 when an enterprise for spirits production was opened on the premises. The space of the Jam Factory Art Center has been shaped by a history of more than 150 years. The main building survived two World Wars, half a dozen regime changes and various owners and purposes. Respect for this legacy is one of the leading principles which have guided the architectural approach to the project.
