SUSTAINABLE EVENTS AS THE DRIVING FORCE TO A CLIMATE-NEUTRAL SOCIETY
Climate-friendly catering is playing an increasingly important role in event management. The decision to cater in this way is not only an urgent response to the climate crisis but also represents an important business opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to a more sustainable society. The question is, therefore, no longer why we should do this, but how we can ensure that climate-friendly catering at events becomes a priority.
As part of a national conference on sustainable catering that took place on 31 March 2022 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, colleagues from Gothenburg, Sweden prepared an insightful video, talking about how they are tackling the issue in their city.
The conference was organised by Umanotera – The Slovenian Foundation for Sustainable Development, in cooperation with Conventa Trade Show, Ljubljana Tourism and the Slovenian Convention Bureau.
Gothenburg is one of the most sustainable destinations for events in the world according to Global Destination Sustainability Index.
