ICC Sydney, managed by ASM Global, was proud to host the 34th Congress of the International Academy of Pathology (IAP 2022 World Congress). The venue was strongly endorsed by its clients, with Emma Bowyer, Managing Director of ICMS Australasia naming it as her “number one pick of a venue in Australia”. On-site delegates’ feedback was overwhelmingly positive as they rated their satisfaction as 100%, as surveyed by EY Sweeney.

IAP 2022 World Congress provided an opportunity for over 1,600 in-person and virtual pathology professionals to discuss leading scientific developments in their field over five days. Young trainees, seasoned professionals and world experts in all specialities of pathology were able to discover Sydney while learning and collaborating with a diverse group of like-minded individuals in one of the largest exchanges of educational advancements in the world.

Facilitating knowledge exchange

ICC Sydney hosted 267 speakers over 109 conference lectures, symposiums and sessions across its Convention Centre. Twenty-four exhibitors were hosted in The Gallery while educational lectures and sessions took place within Parkside Ballroom and various meeting rooms. ICC Sydney provided the perfect environment for industry professionals of all experiences and backgrounds to innovate, exchange ideas and form lifelong connections.

Audio Visual and ICT services

ICC Sydney’s Audio Visual and ICT team worked with the Australasian Division of the International Academy of Pathology to deliver two successful consecutive events – one virtual and the other in person. Participants from all around the globe were able to tune into the IAP 2022 Congress for the first two days of the event which were 100% virtual, with IAP utilising the venue’s on-site speaker preparation to reach their virtual delegation.
