On 28 March, the only B2B trade show of the meetings industry in Croatia will take place in Zagreb. MEETEX, the Croatian Meeting Experience Summit, is the only B2B gathering of congress and business tourism representatives in Croatia. It is also the most important such gathering in Croatia, included in the top 10 European B2B events of the MICE industry.

After two years of virtual meetings, MEETEX will take place from 28 to 30 March at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb. More than 160 meetings industry professionals from all over the world will convene in the capital of Croatia. Over 1,200 face-to-face business meetings were pre-arranged with local exhibitors and buyers from 17 countries, including Germany, France, and Great Britain and attendees from the USA, Canada and Mexico. Representatives of agencies, tourist boards, congress, boutique and luxury hotels, and many other stakeholders of the business tourism industry will join the event.

This year, the emphasis is on more meetings and more intensive networking so that participants can connect, make better contacts and create new opportunities. Business tourism is extremely important because it brings guests who spend much more than tourists.

Co-founder and director of MEETEX

“Although we, as organisers and all the other participants were extremely satisfied with the hybrid editions in 2021 and 2022, we are still glad that this fifth edition of Meetex returns as an in-person event. MEETEX is an extraordinary opportunity for all stakeholders in the Croatian business tourism industry to introduce themselves to the world through meetings with carefully selected buyers and commence new business relationships. It is encouraging to see that interest in Croatia as a business tourism destination continues to grow. The number of one-to-one meetings will surpass 6,500 this year – a very positive trend for the future,” said Adem Braco Suljić, co-founder and director of MEETEX.

The fact that the team behind MEETEX and the MICE industry ascribes great importance to sustainability is commendable. That’s how they joined the German initiative FrauBlau, aimed at preserving wetlands as a carbon footprint catalyst.

This year too, MEETEX has the support of its partners, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Zagreb Tourist Board, which recognised the great importance of such events for the development of congress and business tourism in Croatia.
