Moro Beach Stupe is a one-of-a-kind beach concept in a natural lagoon located on Vela Stupa island, a short hop from Korčula town in the heart of the Adriatic Sea. The story of the venue was written on the islet of Stupe, which gained fame due to its Instagrammable swings. But the picture-postcard views are not the only reason visitors flock to the island. The cuisine is based on local ingredients and seafood, and the restaurant is coupled with a beach bar that serves flavourful drinks.

Moro Beach Stupe is a place that doesn’t limit happiness to an hour. Here, visitors can relax, swim, laugh, drink, dance and enjoy superb cuisine. Visitors can admire the views of the channel to Orebić and Pelješac.

Sustainable approach

As there is no water or electricity on the island, the owners erected a desalination plant, wastewater was solved by installing one of the most modern purifiers. The owners source electricity from fifty solar panels.

Renowned chefs Igor Gudac and Matija Kruhonja created a menu that reflects the seasons, showcasing local ingredients and working with small local suppliers. Pero Lozica, sailor and owner of Moro, explained the concept: “We wanted to give something back to Korčula, our native island. Having spent most of our lives elsewhere, Moro Beach Club Stupe was a way of returning to our roots and giving back to the community. We work with local suppliers, from fishermen to wineries, but also local taxi boats.”
