CHATEAU FULL OF TREASURES

Kynžvart Castle was the favourite summer residence of Chancellor Metternich, housing many collections of art, coins, weapons, priceless books, earliest prints and manuscripts. Today, the castle is open to the public, offering a fascinating insight into the diplomacy in the Austo-Hungarian Empire.

The Kynžvart Chateau Museum is one of the oldest private museums in the world. It was founded by Chancellor Metternich. The collections were kept open and further expanded by his descendants. The castle houses an expansive library with 24,000 books in three original rooms. The venue can host exclusive events and banquets in the neoclassic halls.
