“Poland. More Than You Expected” campaign

“Poland. More Than You Expected” campaign, conducted by the Polish Tourism Organisation – Poland Convention Bureau has been nominated for the MP IMPACT Award. The main goal of the campaign is to foster Poland’s image as an attractive destination for the meetings industry, emphasizing the country’s widespread possibilities that can help successfully organize congresses, conferences, corporate events, and incentive travel. “Poland. More Than You Expected” is run in cooperation with the largest and most renowned European and American media in the meetings industry.

“Poland. More Than You Expected” campaign’s target groups include event organisers in both corporate and institutional sectors from German-speaking, English-speaking, Scandinavian, and Benelux countries, as well as the “New Europe” region. It focuses on organisations involved in hosting international congresses, conferences, corporate events, and incentive travel. Through destination guides crafted in cooperation with the largest and most recognized media in the meetings industry, the campaign showcases Poland as a communicatively accessible country with modern infrastructure, aligned with global meeting industry trends.

“Poland is a country rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. But that’s not all! (…) Poland is a place where modernity meets cultural heritage, offering countless opportunities to host events in historic venues, castles, palaces, and museums. Our cities boast state-of-the-art conference centres equipped with the latest infrastructure, making them perfect for hosting large gatherings. Poland is blessed with picturesque landscapes, mountains, lakes, and forests, making it an excellent location for outdoor events”, says the introductory post on the campaign’s dedicated landing page.

Cementing Poland’s position as a regional MICE leader

The comprehensiveness of the campaign, run together with a PR agency oLIVE media, also in social media, and in cooperation with influencers in the MICE industry, as well as its multisensory, represented on Poland’s stand on 2023 IBTM (artwork, songs and local cuisine tastings), has been appreciated by the jury of MP IMPACT Award, which nominated “Poland. More Than You Expected”, alongside two other campaigns, in the Campaign category. The winner will be announced during the MP IMPACT event on December 12th at the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw.

The awards recognize initiatives, campaigns, and events that have a significant impact on the meetings and events industry. Awards will be granted in four distinct categories: campaign, event, initiative, and MICE for GOOD. For Poland, whose impressive growth in the meetings industry was hampered first by a pandemic and then by war in neighbouring Ukraine, is a particularly important distinction.
