The Netherlands-based event moderation excellence agency, Masters in Moderation, in collaboration with the Vilnius Ideas and Trends Festival Revolution, has officially commenced registration for the International Moderator Masters Competition. This competition offers a unique opportunity for emerging talents in event hosting to gain insights from leading professionals in the industry and step onto the international stage.

Professional event hosts and budding talents taking their initial steps in event hosting and moderation are invited to participate in the International Revolution Moderator Masters Competition. One of the primary criteria is that participants should have less than five years of experience in the field.

International registration for the Revolution festival’s event host competition is now underway and will continue until January 26, 2024. More information and registration for the competition can be found here.

According to Aurimas Kamantauskas, the head of the ReKūrai event services group and organizer of the Revolution festival: “This is a unique opportunity for new talents to showcase their skills against event hosts from other European countries and embark on their international careers. Selected candidates will be invited to join a mastery training program led by top event industry experts and will have the chance to introduce themselves to potential clients. I believe this competition will help discover new event hosting talents in Europe.”

Participants are required to provide information about their experience in hosting events and submit a 1-2 minute video reading an excerpt from an event script in English. Additionally, they must present their motivations and competencies for participating in the competition. Proficiency in speaking English is a key requirement.

Jan-Jaap In der Maur, the founder of the Dutch agency Masters in Moderation, states that the fifteen successful participants will have a unique opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in a special event host training program. These free training sessions will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining live and remote sessions. Moreover, the top three performers in the training will be invited to become hosts for the second-largest ideas and trends festival in the Baltic countries, the Revolution festival, taking place at Vilnius Town Hall on May 22-24, 2024. “Our agency is constantly seeking new international talent, and this competition provides an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills. For some, there may even be an opportunity to join our team.”

He added that event hosts who complete the agency’s training program return to the stage significantly improved in all aspects. “Participants in the training develop the ability to communicate with the audience, and learn to professionally engage with the audience of the hosted event,” says Jan-Jaap In der Maur.

The first-largest event industry conference in the Baltic countries, the Revolution conference, held in Vilnius in April 2023, brought together around 2000 participants from various countries. This was the first large-scale event in the Baltic countries designed for professionals and enthusiasts from various fields who organize or participate in events and are seeking new ideas and inspiration.
