The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has been awarded Best Exhibition or Trade Show at the 2024 Australian Event Awards. AIME was also named Australian Event of the Year at the 2022 awards.

It is the third year that AIME has received the prestigious award, cementing its position as the premier business event for the Asia Pacific meetings and events industry.

AIME connects international and local buyers with world-class exhibitors from Asia Pacific and worldwide. Next year’s three-day event will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from 10 to 12 February 2025.

The Australian Event Awards & Symposium is the national awards program and conference for the Australian events industry and establishes Australia’s best events and event-related goods, services and innovations over the past 12 months.

AIME 2025 will be the fourth event delivered by Event Director Silke Calder and her team from Talk2 Media and Events, which manages the show on behalf of the Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB).

“We are especially delighted to receive this fantastic award for the third year in a row. Recognition from the Australian Event Awards & Symposium, which fosters continued excellence, innovation and unity across the industry, is a huge honour. We are truly thrilled,” Calder said.

Melbourne Convention Bureau CEO Julia Swanson said the award cemented AIME’s position as the premier event in the region, which is celebrating its 32nd year in 2025.

“For over 30 years, AIME has been a key event for the business events industry in the Asia Pacific, and it’s an honour to see its legacy acknowledged once again in 2024.

“This award highlights the show’s impact on our industry, fostering meaningful connections and business opportunities for all involved while delivering significant economic benefits to Victoria. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to vibrant Melbourne in February 2025.”

AIME 2025 is set to be a blockbuster, with more than 600 exhibitors, 650 hosted buyers and 20,000 meetings set to take place across the event.
