Since the move to Sydney, IMARC has reported record numbers – 9,000 attendees from 115 countries over three days, which contributed an estimated direct expenditure of $17.8 million. The conference and expo have been described as a beacon of innovation and collaboration for the industry and all eyes are now on Sydney for another year. Global and Australian mining and resources companies are turning their attention to 2025, which has already sold around 70% of the exhibition space.
Minister for Jobs and Tourism, the Hon John Graham said, “Sydney is the nation’s premier destination for business events, a sector we have plans to grow even further over coming years.”
In emphasising the NSW government’s focus on energy opportunities and partnerships to attract investment in green industries, Minister for Natural Resources, the Hon Courtney Houssos remarked, “NSW is on the cusp of realising the opportunities in energy, but we know we’re not alone in the global race. Here in NSW, our message is clear. We are open for business.”
IMARC was held at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) and will be held there again next year from 21 to 23 October.
