A NOD TO SLAVONIAN SOIL
Terra Negra Country Club is one of the most unique venues in Croatian Slavonia, famed for its restaurant, which takes inspiration from the fertile Slavonian soil. The restaurant Crna svinja is located in the pleasant ambience of the Terra Negra Country Club, surrounded by meadows and woods, in a tranquil location near Osijek.
The restaurant is named after the indigenous Slavonian breed of black pig. The breeding of the sort began around the end of the 19th century, at the manor of Count Pfeiffer. All the dishes are based on ingredients from the Slavonian land, from the venue’s production and cultivation. The chef and his team have successfully created a fusion of typical Slavonian ingredients and world-famous recipes.
Locally-sourced gastronomy
The venue’s trump card is undoubtedly the gastronomy based on seasonal, local and fresh ingredients and produce. For events, the chef and his team curate the catering menu to meet the needs of event organisers and their clients. Besides delicacies made from black pig meat, the restaurant also serves cured meat products DOBRO, the best-known Croatian brand of pork delicacies.
Within spitting distance, guests can stay at the opulent luxury retreat Hotel Materra. With its unique design and carefully designed spaces, the 61-key hotel offers a superior stay.
