Connections Luxury, the international private community for trusted decision-makers in luxury travel, has made history by bringing the first-ever luxury travel trade show to New York City. From 9 to 12 March, more than 160 senior luxury travel professionals gathered to build new business relationships and strengthen existing ones in a unique, experience-led format that defines the Connections Way.

Connections Luxury Americas in New York City welcomed global luxury travel suppliers eager to connect with leading luxury agencies and buyers from across the United States, with a particular focus on the East Coast. Luxury buyers were selected from the Connections Luxury Community, which represents a collective buying power of $7.8 billion. Over two-and-a-half days, attendees from over 33 countries took part in 1,226 one-to-one meetings alongside 16 immersive experiences designed to foster genuine connections.

Julie Coker, President and CEO of New York City Tourism + Conventions, celebrated the milestone during the event, adding: “Today, we’re experiencing two firsts. This is the first Connections event in New York City, and it is also the first luxury travel trade show to be hosted in the city.”

Attendees also enjoyed a private event at Bar SixtyFive atop the Rockefeller Center, with exclusive access to the Rockefeller’s latest attractions, ‘Beam’ and ‘Sky Lift’. The programme concluded with a viewing of the Metropolitan Opera’s company premiere of Moby-Dick, offering attendees a unique cultural immersion.

Gregory Reeves, Managing Director, International at Connections Luxury parent company Jacobs Media, hailed the success of the event: “Bringing the Connections Luxury experience to New York City has been a remarkable milestone for us.” […] “The enthusiasm and engagement from participants have reinforced our commitment to fostering genuine relationships in the luxury travel industry.”
