Destination South Australia (DSA), the State’s largest annual business events showcase organised by Business Events Adelaide, concluded successfully last week, 20 March 2025.

More than 50 highly qualified business event decision-makers and media participated in the fully hosted program, which demonstrated the very best of South Australian ingenuity and hospitality. Guests visited business event venues and hotels in the city, as well as taking part in a famil to either the Barossa Valley or Adelaide Hills.

Thursday’s tradeshow – which included scheduled appointments with Business Events Adelaide member exhibitors – provided event organisers with the opportunity to meet local industry leaders and learn why Adelaide is Australia’s leading business event destination.

For the first time, the event welcomed a delegation of Indian corporate incentive agents alongside interstate guests. The Indian delegation participated in a separate famil and educational program, with both groups coming together for key showcase occasions at Adelaide Oval and Morphettville.

Business Events Adelaide CEO Damien Kitto stated that the inclusion of the Indian delegation added another dimension to the ever-popular Destination SA. “The opportunity to host both groups concurrently meant that we were able to provide more value to our members,” he said. “DSA exhibitor spots sold out very quickly, reflecting their popularity amongst our members, and we responded by making this DSA our biggest yet. Having such a large and diverse group of guests this year ensured that more members were engaged than ever before.”

DSA remains the highlight of Business Events Adelaide’s calendar, responsible for attracting more than $40 million in future business to South Australia. Mr Kitto emphasised that the team was proud to have showcased the city and regions. “DSA is always a great time to demonstrate the ‘Team Adelaide’ approach that we are renowned for,” he continued. “Our guests have now experienced first-hand the experiential, cultural, and economic advantages of choosing Adelaide for their future business events.”

Destination SA’s Showcase Exhibition took place at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Thursday, 20 March.
