At the jubilee tenth gathering, held at the Hyatt Regency Belgrade hotel, eight distinguished professors, scientists, and experts received this prestigious title, bringing the total number of Congress Ambassadors to 97.

The awards were presented by Marija Labovic, Director of the National Tourism Organisation of Serbia, who outlined that Serbia – and Belgrade in particular – is taking an increasingly prominent place on the global congress map. Additional momentum for international recognition is expected from the upcoming specialised exhibition EXPO 2027 Belgrade, hosted by Serbia.
49 congresses were held in Serbia, 38 of them in Belgrade.
The results achieved in 2024 were also presented during the event: 49 congresses were held in Serbia, 38 of them in Belgrade, along with an improved position on ICCA rankings: Serbia is 49th in the world and 26th in Europe, while Belgrade ranks 64th globally and 37th in Europe. It was highlighted that the joint efforts of all stakeholders contribute to the growing international visibility of Serbia’s event destinations, especially Belgrade and Novi Sad, as well as other cities.
