Minor Hotels has also signed a management agreement with MK Group for Adriatic Istria Resort in Savudrija, marking the group’s debut in Croatia and further strengthening its presence along the Adriatic. The property will come under Minor Hotels management from 12 February 2026 and will reopen for the 2026 season in late March, before undergoing a full refurbishment.
Set on the prestigious Istrian peninsula, the 186-key resort features three restaurants, four bars, a dedicated MICE area for high-end corporate retreats, events and weddings, a full-service spa and wellness centre, indoor and outdoor pools, and direct beach access. The resort is also home to the premier golf course of the Adriatic – the picturesque 18-hole, par-72 Golf Adriatic PGA National Croatia running alongside the coastline.
Following its refurbishment, the resort will relaunch in early 2027 as Anantara Adriatic Istria Resort, introducing Anantara’s signature blend of heartfelt hospitality and experiential luxury to Croatia. Guests will enjoy cultural journeys into Istrian heritage, nature-led activities, and the full suite of Anantara hallmarks and experiences.

Like the sister project in Portorož, the resort is owned by MK Group, whose partnership with Minor Hotels supports the positioning of the wider Adriatic region as a leading premium tourism destination. Both properties benefit from excellent accessibility, with convenient links to Trieste Airport in Italy, Portorož Airport in Slovenia, and Pula and Rijeka Airports in Croatia.
