THE EPICENTRE OF INCENTIVE EXPERIENCES IN THE BOHINJ AREA

Located right beside Lake Bohinj, the outdoor venue Pod Skalco is well known among climbers and visitors to the area. The site has recently gained a distinctive new dimension, as the team from Orehov gaj introduced their well-known axe-throwing experience here. The venue serves as an excellent starting point for exploring Bohinj and, with its new axe-throwing offer, also provides a unique setting for team-building activities. Event organisers can host product presentations, boutique-scale events and smaller conferences here for up to 100 participants.

The picnic area, which also serves as an excellent base for exploring Lake Bohinj, truly comes to life during the summer months, when a number of live concerts take place here. Before or after an event, participants can be inspired by activities such as kayaking or canoeing on the lake, or canyoning through the gorges of Mostnica Gorge and Jerečica Gorge. The axe-throwing experience, which has become one of the most popular incentive activities in Slovenia, will undoubtedly take participants out of their comfort zone.

Bohinj offers more than 500 climbing routes, giving participants the opportunity to try their hand at rock climbing as well. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, beginners can take their first climbing steps at Pod Skalco. Bohinj is also a destination committed to improving sustainable mobility. In 2021, together with Pod Skalco, a special campaign was launched to help reduce traffic in the area. Instead of fifteen parking spaces, tables and chairs were installed beneath a striking red canopy. This intervention not only calmed traffic but also reminded passers-by of the importance of public spaces dedicated to pedestrians. More information about the campaign is available here.
