Events embraced by lavender
Just five minutes from the centre of Maribor lies Slovenia’s own Provence — Štajerska sivka Resort. The estate, covering more than 40,000 square metres, is planted with countless rows of fragrant lavender.In addition to a modern outdoor greenhouse and a timber complex that can be transformed into concert venues, the resort also features a swimming pool, contemporary apartments and indoor event spaces.
The estate has also gained recognition for its unique culinary evenings, which combine refined flavours with carefully selected musical performers. In June, the guest chef at the long-table dinner will be Mojmir Šiftar, who will create an exceptional culinary experience for visitors. The location is also well suited to additional activities, such as exploring the nearby natural surroundings of Pohorje or enjoying active cycling in the area.
Event organisers can also host gatherings in a natural timber-built structure that can accommodate up to 200 participants. The resort is managed by an experienced team led by Boštjan Lesjak, who has delivered more than a thousand conferences and events both in Slovenia and internationally. It seems that Styria has gained a venue unlike any previously available in Slovenia.
