Accelerating upgrades to the world’s leading MICE hubs
Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) has been awarded the Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS) award by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau Public Organization (TCEB). As a result, BITEC is ready to accelerate venue quality in the post-COVID-19 era by focusing on hygiene and technology as a leading MICE hub in the ASEAN region. Currently, BITEC is the first venue in Thailand with an area greater than 5,000 square meters that have been certified in all of its venues.
“BITEC is committed to developing services and facilities to meet the international MICE venue standards. We focus on personnel development through national and international training. Since 2015, we have been awarded certification badges by TCEB. The awards demonstrate our efforts to develop the centre. This year, we received two awards for our meeting rooms and exhibition halls. These exemplify our willingness to welcome organisers and visitors back to normalcy. Customers can be assured of BITEC’s safety standards throughout their use of the centre’s services,” said Chakkrin Angprateep, Sales Director, BITEC Exhibition and Convention Centre (BITEC).
In addition to the TMVS certification, which ensured that the centre’s safety, technology, service, and environmental management met international standards, BITEC has focused on developing its business by responding to TCEB’s policy to meet the changing needs of consumers during COVID-19. BITEC has joined the “MICE Hygiene (2HY)” campaign. This campaign has allowed BITEC to focus on organising safely during COVID-19, delivering hygiene standards, and emphasising hybrid meeting technology.
The TMVS Emblem is regarded as the highest standard certification for MICE venues in Thailand. It certifies MICE operators’ location and international standards, considering physical technology, service and sustainable management.
