This strategy prioritises the development of destinations across the entire country and emphasises the importance of close mutual cooperation in promoting Slovenia as an excellent destination for international events.

Fredi Fontanot, Director of the Slovenian Convention Bureau, expressed his satisfaction with the industry’s progress at the conclusion of the meeting, stating that this year’s 22nd meeting was held in the spirit of expanding the meetings industry across all of Slovenia and encouraging development in all regions. He added that this was reflected in the choice of the special event location, Rimske Terme, which successfully competes with more established destinations through its high-quality and comprehensive offerings. According to him, it is extremely important for the industry’s development to connect stakeholders, implement joint activities across all Slovenian regions, and establish local convention bureaus that will contribute to a more balanced development and greater visibility of Slovenia as a destination for business meetings in the long term.
