AN ESCAPE TO THE COUNTRYSIDE

Turistična kmetija Pri Lazarju in Podgrad offers an authentic countryside experience just a few kilometres from Ljubljana. A rural retreat such as this can provide a refreshing contrast to events in an urban setting, allowing participants to discover traditional farm activities and life surrounded by green natural landscapes.

At Turistična kmetija Pri Lazarju, which also offers accommodation, guests can enjoy traditional Slovenian dishes accompanied by wines from Goriška Brda. Depending on the season, visitors may also purchase homemade produce such as cheese, curd cheese, sour milk, apples, strawberries, dried fruit and spirits. Guests staying at the farm also have the opportunity to take part in farm activities in the stable or out on the pasture, while getting to know the farm animals.

In addition to exploring the farm, visitors can arrange guided excursions along the nearby Ostrovrhar Trail and Borovničeva Trail hiking routes. Local attractions along these trails include the ruins of two castles near Podgrad, a millstone quarry, the valley of the Besnica River, the confluence of three rivers, and the ascent to Janče.

The seminar room at Turistična kmetija Pri Lazarju can accommodate up to 40 people. For more informal gatherings, the tourist farm also offers a fully equipped picnic area for up to 50 guests, ideal for family celebrations and relaxed outdoor events.
