On May 27th, independent live-experience agencies across the 27Names network came together for the second annual 27Names Community Day. This year’s theme, More Than a Meal, invited each agency to support a local food-related cause, using the simple act of sharing a meal to create connection, dignity, and meaningful impact in their communities.
Across Europe, agencies partnered with food banks, charities, community kitchens, hospitals, schools, shelters, and local organisations, each responding to the needs of their own community. While every initiative looked different, they all shared the same belief: that small, local actions can make a real difference.
The collective impact included:
• More than 900 participants, including agency teams, clients, suppliers, volunteers and community members
• More than 750 volunteer hours dedicated to local causes
• More than 1,500 meals provided
• More than 1,000 care packages and support kits created
• More than €12,000 raised for local organisations
• More than 3,000 people were directly supported
• 800+ kg of food items donated to local food charities
Across the network, agencies brought the theme to life in different ways. In Lithuania, an agency hosted a gala luncheon for senior citizens, transforming a shared meal into a celebration of community and connection. In Ukraine, a long community table brought people together while raising support for elderly residents affected by the war. Elsewhere, volunteers prepared and delivered meals, packed care kits for families in need, supported children’s hospitals, organized open community tables where neighbors and strangers shared lunch together, and collected hundreds of kilograms of food for local charities. Every initiative responded to a local need, but together they told one shared story.

The initiative builds on the success of the inaugural 27Names Community Day in 2025 and reflects the network’s belief that creativity and collaboration can extend beyond client work to create positive impact in local communities.
“Every agency interpreted More Than a Meal in its own way,” Pilz added. “Some served hundreds of meals. Others raised funds, supported local charities, or created spaces where people simply felt welcomed and connected. There wasn’t a single definition of success. What mattered was taking action together and showing that even small acts, multiplied across Europe, can have an extraordinary impact.”
Now in its second year, Community Day has become an annual tradition for the 27Names network, demonstrating how independent agencies across 27 countries can unite behind a common purpose while creating meaningful local change.
