INCON is delighted to announce the Seoul Tourism Organisation (STO) as its new Destination Partner, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration designed to strengthen Seoul’s position as one of the world’s leading destinations for international association meetings and conferences.
The partnership was officially launched during IMEX Frankfurt, where the agreement was signed by Mr Dohwi Kwak, Seoul Tourism Organisation, and Nicola McGrane, Chair of INCON and CEO of Conference Partners International (CPI). The launch was attended by INCON partner companies from around the world and celebrated with a traditional Korean Chimaek reception, showcasing Seoul’s renowned hospitality and culture.
Through this partnership, Seoul Tourism Organisation will work closely with INCON’s global network of leading professional congress organisers and association management specialists to build new relationships, share destination expertise and create opportunities for international associations considering Seoul for future meetings and congresses. INCON would also like to extend its sincere thanks to its partner in Korea, Sungmin Hwang, CEO of OPENER, for facilitating this collaboration and helping to bring the partnership to fruition. His support and commitment have been instrumental in establishing this exciting new relationship between INCON and Seoul Tourism Organisation.

Seoul has earned a global reputation as a premier destination for international meetings, combining world-class convention facilities, outstanding accessibility, cutting-edge innovation and a rich cultural heritage. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting associations in delivering exceptional international events.
Mr Dohwi Kwak, Seoul Tourism Organization, added: “We are pleased to partner with INCON and engage with its outstanding global network of professional congress organisers. This collaboration provides an excellent platform to showcase Seoul’s strengths as a leading MICE destination and to build meaningful relationships with international association meeting planners. We look forward to working closely with the INCON community over the coming year.”
One of the first initiatives under the partnership will be an INCON visit to Seoul this August, where representatives from across the INCON network will experience the city’s world-class convention infrastructure, venues, hospitality and cultural attractions first-hand. The visit will provide an opportunity to strengthen relationships with local partners and explore Seoul’s capabilities as a leading destination for international association meetings and congresses. The partnership will also include targeted business development activities, destination-focused content and case studies, and the sharing of market insights to help connect Seoul with international associations and conference organisers seeking future host destinations.
The partnership represents another important step in INCON’s commitment to connecting its worldwide network with leading destinations that demonstrate excellence in hosting international association meetings. INCON looks forward to working closely with Seoul Tourism Organisation to develop new opportunities for its partner companies and to welcoming representatives from across the network to Seoul this August.
