In its five years of existence, Kongres magazine has become one of the more recognisable magazines in the field of business tourism and the meetings industry. Lately, the editorial board has focused predominantly on content, as our Editor-in-Chief Gorazd Čad likes to say: “Content is king, readers are queen”. In the future we wish to expand our content and become even more credible in the meetings industry. We believe SE Europe is a new and attractive industry destination and with the help of our medium we can deliver this message to foreign meetings organisers.
To accelerate the recognition of SE Europe in the meetings world, this year we are introducing a number of new features. Among the most important is our partnership with International Meetings Review, which will dispatch our content to over 700,000 recipients, meetings organisers from all over the world; a new web site which is due to launch in early May; a new Croatian Supplement edited by Daniela Kos of Poslovni Turizam, who ended a successful 2011 with a Meetings Star at the last Conventa; and a new international section, Kongres Telescope, edited by Robert Cotter and in which we will present congress destinations, themes, and personalities from all over the world.
The editorial board of Kongres magazine are committed to cooperation as the key to our development, as this will increase our content and offer Croatia the more visible spot it certainly merits, given its existing offer and rapid business tourism development. Poslovni Turizam and Kongres magazine go hand in hand towards new common goals, which will provide more exposure and profile to our partners and to us. We all believe we will be stronger together.
The Editorial Board of Kongres magazine wants this magazine to primarily represent SE Europe as a rising congress destination, one that is appropriate for smaller and mid-sized congresses. At the same time we wish to present other emerging meetings destinations, since we see a lot of parallels between the development of SE European meetings industry and those of the BRIC countries and other countries with similar characteristics in highly competitive regions.
We invite all interested parties to join us in this journey and help us achieve the desired results together. We are flexible and open to all proposals – we will always be happy to hear from you.
