Slovenia and its capital Ljubljana are going through a calming down stage of the third Covid wave, thus, the events are slowly coming back to life with allowed public gatherings up to 50 people and with cultural venues (theatres, cinemas, etc.) being able to fill up to half of its capacity. Same goes for hotels. However, bigger events that were announced months ahead remain online as the numbers of the registered participants are too high to be able to held events online. Same goes for the two event co-organised by Society of Ophtalmology and Eye Hospital at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana in collaboration with the Congress Department at Cankarjev dom which is taking care of the event’s operations and registrations.

The programme of the first day will consist of lectures and case presentations in regards to Uveitis (eye inflammation) by international specialists. There will be also Medical Interns Competition Section as well as more than 35 groundbreaking Case Reports by Residents from Slovenia. On the second day of the event, on Friday, 21 May 2021, the Section of nurses and medical technicians in ophtalmology will be held, as well as several lectures throughout the day related and focused exclusively to problems and treatments of Retina. On the same day, the Satellite Symposium Novartis will be held on the Brolucizumab in Clinical Practic, The Importacne of Fluid in the treatment of age related macular degeneration, and the Clinical Experience with Beovu in Slovenia. Later on, lectures on Hereditary ocular diseases and retinal dystophies will take place.
