Ljubljana’s Promotional Campaign at the City Nation Place Awards 2021

Ljubljana Tourism’s promotional campaign “The Tourism Makes Ljubljana” got into the final selection for the awards of the City Nation Place organizer. The campaign has impressed the jury for its goal to promote a positive attitude towards tourism among Ljubljana’s residents by showing a wide range of quality restaurants, shops and other services in the city and region. Hence, the general public gets acquainted with projects that are co-financed directly from tourism revenues.

Ljubljana finalist for the Eurocities Awards 2021

Slovenia’s capital has been included in the final selection for the Eurocities Awards 2021 with the project of the quality renovation of the main part of Slovenska cesta in the category Planning public spaces – presenting innovative solutions.

Ljubljana shortlisted for 2022 European Capital of Smart Tourism

The Slovenian capital of Ljubljana has been also shortlisted among the seven cities for the 2022 European Capital of Smart Tourism. Ljubljana was already in 2019 recognised with European Smart Tourism Award for outstanding achievements in sustainability and in 2020 Ljubljana won in the Digitalisation category.

Green Supply Chains the best environmental project on national level

Among the eight Slovenian projects that applied for the Energy Globe Award 2021 for Slovenia, Ljubljana Tourism registered the project “Green Supply Chains« in the “Earth” category and won. In the “Earth” category, the jury was looking for innovative solutions that contribute to nature conservation and sustainable measures.

Ljubljana Talks awarded at ICCA Best Marketing Awards

As we have already reported, Ljubljana Talks, the joint project between Ljubljana Tourism and Kongres Magazine, received the Outstanding Recognition at the ICCA Best Marketing Award competition in Innovation and Creativity.

Ljubljana named the European Best Green Capital

Another award that we have recently reported on, was that the organisation European Best Destinations (EBD) ranked Ljubljana number one among the 20 Best Green Capitals in Europe. As one of the main advantages of Ljubljana, the jury in its final evaluation pointed out the whole sustainable orientation of the Ljubljana and its region as a  tourist destination.

Ljubljana seven times among TOP 100 Sustainable Destinations

Slovenia’s capital has been as the only city in the world for the seventh time in a row listed among the global TOP 100 Sustainable Destinations. This year, the international expert jury was convinced by the KulKul moment project which connected Ljubljana’s culture and cuisine that frequently attract new leisure and business guests to Slovenia’s capital.
