Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre and The Finnish Fair Corporation had a strong year in 2025. For the first time in the corporation’s history, revenue rose to a record level of over 60 million euros. The centre’s visitor numbers exceeded one million for the first time since the pandemic, growing by 13.7 per cent compared to the previous year. The Finnish Fair Corporation’s year is summarised in the Annual Report 2025 published today.

The Finnish Fair Corporation successfully executed its growth strategy in 2025. Revenue increased to 60.5 million euros, up 3.6 per cent from the previous year, surpassing the corporation’s previous record year of 2019.

Visitor numbers also reached record levels. Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre’s total visitor count exceeded one million for the first time after the pandemic and reached 1,004,912 (+13.7%). Altogether, 1,019,624 visitors (+13.4%) attended the corporation’s events.

In 2025, the Finnish Fair Corporation organised around 40 trade fairs and 400 other events, including meetings, congresses, galas and parties, entertainment productions, and special events.

The year was strong for congresses. Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre hosted 10 international congresses, attracting more than 28,600 delegates. The congresses generated over 57 million euros in income and employment impact for the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Investments strengthen Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre as an international event venue

In 2025, a more than 20‑million‑euro investment decision was made to construct Solar, the future event space of Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. The investment, one of the largest in the corporation in decades, strengthens the centre’s position as an international event venue. Construction of Solar began in March–April 2026, and the doors will open in autumn 2027. The 5,000‑seat Messukeskus Arena grandstand, which increases the flexibility of the centre’s largest halls, was taken into use at the Nordic Business Forum in autumn 2025.
