There’s a new place to stay in the centre of Gdańsk – and it’s inspired by the way people actually travel today. Prize by Radisson has just opened its first hotel in Poland – Prize by Radisson, Gdańsk: 125 rooms on Żabi Kruk Street, 300 meters from the Motława River, in one of the Baltic’s most walkable and culturally rich cities.

The opening marks the entry of Radisson Hotel Group’s lifestyle midscale brand into the Polish market – and Gdańsk, with its mix of history, design, gastronomy, and growing international appeal, is exactly the kind of city Prize was made for.

Travellers coming to Gdańsk don’t need a hotel that competes with the city. They need one that makes it easy to enjoy it. That’s the idea behind Prize by Radisson: central location, smart design, fair price, and no unnecessary extras slowing you down.

Rooms are designed for comfort and clarity: functional, well thought-out, and free of clutter. The ground floor is built around the brand’s signature social hub: an open space where lobby, restaurant, and bar flow into one another. It’s where you start your morning with coffee and a rough plan for the day, check in with friends or colleagues over lunch, or wind down with a drink after walking the waterfront at sunset. No dress code, no stiffness, just a space that adapts to your rhythm.

Gdańsk’s Old Town – colourful merchant houses along the Long Market, Neptune’s Fountain, the towering St. Mary’s Basilica, the medieval Crane on the river – is minutes away on foot.

But what makes the city genuinely exciting right now goes beyond the postcard sights: a food scene stretching from traditional pierogi spots and Baltic seafood to craft beer bars and modern bistros; easy access to sandy beaches in Brzeźno and Sopot when you want a change of pace; and a creative, local energy that rewards anyone willing to wander a little further.

The hotel sits close enough to the landmarks to be convenient, but just far enough to put you in a real neighbourhood – the kind of spot where you discover your own version of the city.

Prize by Radisson currently operates over 20 properties across Europe, with more under development. The Gdańsk opening follows the successful launch of Prize by Radisson, Osnabrück City in late 2025 – the first hotel under the refreshed brand identity – and precedes further openings, including Wrocław and Berlin. Poland is part of a broader push to bring the lifestyle midscale concept to new markets where travellers are looking for well-designed, well-located, and fairly priced places to stay.
