“Our goal is to strengthen the position of a modern European congress centre in the long term, which will stand up to growing international competition. Last year’s results show that we are on the right track. In terms of sales and profit, we have had a record year, and our financial results confirm our place among the world’s leading congress centres. And our plans for the future are no less ambitious,” commented Lenka Žlebková, CEO of PCC, on last year’s results.
In 2025, PCC achieved an EBITDA of CZK 234 million, up 27% year-on-year from CZK 184 million in 2024. Net profit increased by CZK 45 million to CZK 138.9 million (+48%), while total revenues grew 7% year-on-year to reach CZK 717 million.
185 events, including 135 conferences
The Prague Congress Centre welcomed 210,000 visitors last year, a 16% decrease year on year. A total of 185 events took place at PCC, including 135 conferences and lectures alongside 50 cultural and social events. “Despite a slight decrease in attendance, we saw a fundamental shift in our visitor demographics. We are hosting a growing share of large-scale international congresses that span longer durations and require higher service standards. The share of large-scale international meetings with a longer duration and higher requirements is growing. This development confirms our strategic shift toward larger, high-value events with greater economic and social impact. These gatherings bring thousands of global experts to Prague, and it is for them that the new multifunctional building is also designed,” explained Lenka Žlebková.
“In June, we began construction of our new Exhibition Hall, which will add 5,000 square meters of exhibition space and enable us to bid for the world’s most prestigious international events. We have long recognised that Prague lacks the infrastructure to host events of this scale, and we are glad to bring such a space to the metropolis. The new facility will be an architecturally striking, modern, and technologically advanced building surrounded by a thoughtfully designed public space,” added Lenka Žlebková.
Following two months of intensive underground preparations, main construction of the new hall began in mid-August. In September, tower cranes will be erected on-site, temporarily shaping the skyline around PCC. Construction costs for the new hall are expected to exceed CZK 150 million this year, alongside an additional CZK 120 million investment in state-of-the-art sound systems and stage equipment for the existing building.
The Prague Congress Centre is a place where disciplines, ideas and people from all over the world meet. In 2025, it hosted, for example, the World Congress of Psychiatry, the Congress of the European Neuro-Oncological Association and the World Congress of Fetal Medicine, as well as events such as the ICANN Public Meeting (Internet Corporation for Assigning Names and Numbers) and Forum 2000. Equally important were initiatives with a strong social impact, such as the Global Healthcare Initiative for Ukraine held under the auspices of Czech First Lady Eva Pavlova, and a special screening of the documentary The Great Patriotic Trip for high school students, featuring a discussion with President Petr Pavel.
A significant part of the PCC complex is the four-star Holiday Inn Prague hotel with 254 rooms, which saw a 4 per cent increase in revenues last year. This growth is driven by a steady influx of both domestic and international clientele.
Prague has long stood among the world’s premier meeting destinations, ranking 6th in the latest ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) index. Furthermore, congress delegates deliver significantly higher economic value to the city than regular tourists. The venue’s appeal is set to grow even further with the construction of the New Exhibition Hall at the Prague Congress Centre, scheduled for completion in 2028, with building works proceeding while the centre remains fully operational.
